Johannes Greve Muskat
Norwegian director that I started to follow around 2009 from personal short films for a music blog in Norway. One of the big driving factors in my starting interest into photo/video medium as a real path / black hole to where my time would be going.
His short films and clips are so visual and heavily music based. He focused really heavily on syncing music to quick clips on mood and pace.
Recently spent the weekend in Claremont, CA : went into downtown Los Angeles for the day and took some fun images throughout the day. Kayla H.
This week in Santa Barbara had the pleasure of working with Nico Saviotti at Santa Barbara City College stadium. Fitness inspired shoot shot on a digital medium format: 645 aspect ratio.
Some major inspiration that I can trace back to a year and half ago or so is Atarah Atkinson's analog
work. I was inspired by how much more tedious the process was, and the importance that was being put
into each negative, scan and print. Not just that alone, but the color and production that came from the
analog work I really wanted to get into and try out a new process of creating. A couple of months after
that I picked up a Hasselblad 501CM and shot my first roll of film ( this, being the first image) on
That semester I produced my entire portfolio on that camera on E6 and C41 film.
The color production, and spatial composition are two of the things that really influenced me into picking up a film camera and starting something that has changed workflow and process substantially as a photographer.
over the years, i have culminated a series of images of the sky. you can find a catelog and folders different for the sole reason of clouds just being, amazing. so naturally it started to make sense to start using these clouds and incorporating them into images for a unique umph, or aesthetic.
^the video above, is one of those times i one of those cloud images and incorporated that into a shoot^
below, is another, shot in santa barbara on wet wednesday
Below is another sky composite in back in 2014
